FRANCESCA SIRIGNANO

9 & 10 COACH

This year is Francesca’s fifth year coaching for the Sharks, and she is so excited to be working at the Rosemary Pool!

Francesca has been a competitive swimmer since she was 5 years old! This year marks her 16th year participating on the Sharks. Francesca swam for the Needham High School varsity team, where she specialized in distance and IM and served as a captain her senior year. Francesca attended Brandeis University, where she swam for four years, and graduated with an education degree. In the off season, Francesca teaches middle school music in Westwood.

Francesca can’t wait to help the 9 and 10 year old swimmers learn more about the sport, and be able to share some of the knowledge she has picked up over the years to others! She hopes each swimmer takes away a new skill or piece of information after every practice or meet, and most of all, leaves with a huge smile on their face! GO SHARKS!!

ZIBING ZHANG

13 & OLDER COACH

This year will be Bing's sixth season coaching for the Needham Sharks.

Bing has been swimming competitively since joining his first team, the BC Eaglets, in fourth grade. Since then he has swam for the Charles River YMCA Tsunamis as well as a number of USA Swimming club teams. In high school he was a four-year varsity swimmer, as well as captain his senior year.

Bing graduated Northeastern University with a degree in computer science and mathematics. He currently works as a software engineer, but spends his fall as an assistant coach of the Needham Girls Varsity Swim & Dive Team and his winter as an assistant coach of the Needham Boys Varsity Swim & Dive Team.

Bing enjoys helping younger swimmers develop and improve as swimmers and individuals as they learn the joys of competitive swimming. He believes that the hard work they put in and the persistence they develop will have long reaching affects, in and out of the pool.
